Alucinogenia
![]() |
My name is Fernando Alvarez Charro and I am from Spain. I am bachelor of Fine arts. My ways of expression are music, photography and painting. You can see in my web (www.alucinogenia.com), a large selection of my best photographic works. |
The first time I got fascinated in my life has been because of music.
I started playing keyboard by hear, trying to learn the secret hidden into the themes that were amazing me, from composers we all know (mentionning them is not really relevant). I did not have yet the required techniques neither the economic means to create music. Possibly because of these or any other unknown reason, I started to get very interested in drawing and painting. This is a much more reachable and cheaper way of expression.
But despite the fact that I really enjoy this art, I’ve never felt a shiver up my spine looking at a painting. But with music, it is different. Music makes me feel this shiver, these “soul orgasms” where it feels like something deep inside you is shaking and asking to get out for takeoff.
Time after time, I kept on practising with keyboards until I could get the knowledge to make my musical ideas real. And thanks to the explosion of the computing technologies, and as many people from my generation, I could start recording and producing music in my own house. Since then, I have recorded three musical works understood as "album". And besides multitude of themes, one soundtrack for a shortfilm, etc.
"LiVertad", It is an album recorded during a time of introspection, wishing to express myself in the most sincere and simple way through music. As you can see from the illustrations I have made for the CD, Nature plays a very important role in my art. I love excursions in mountains and forests and this is reflected in my music.
What I am interested in is the narrative content of music, which is not necessarily a narration of events as it could be with soundtracks; it could also be an abstract story of sensations, thoughts and feelings. I believe this makes the listening of my themes like an experience similar to a journey full of surprises across different places… sometimes magic… sometimes mysterious, melancholic or full of happiness.

gracias Javi.
