Hi E

I have heard several times your piece. Indeed it is not in any conventional style so it makes difficult to understand at a first attempt. In the first two minutes I hear a clear preparation for a melodic development that seems intentionally truncated by a series of descending parallel motion in fifths with some semitone dissonances. It is clear that you take the way of contemporary classical variations, somewhat experimental but still fine.

In the second part I find a more New - Age, Epic - Rock approach but with lack of the right instrumentation and sound quality, also no clear direction in the development until minute six where is more clear your harmonic progression until the end. Seriously I should recall this piece and give more elaboration in the production and sound, also I miss in the second part a more protagonist instrument that could be an overdriven guitar. Also some phrases could be removed or re elaborated to give a more clear idea of the movement that actually is somewhat confusing.

That is only my personal point of view as a classical music composer, surely it fits into "Gothic" style where the requirements or goals are absolutely different from my point of view, but still I have heard "Gothic" and "Ethereal" music from some colleges in this and other forums and there are some differences in its conception and sound expression that is what, in some way, lacks your composition.

Thanks for sharing
