Julia Claire was already on the stage before she was born in Surrey, England when her mother Brenda was the leading soprano in "The Beggar's Opera' with her father John Dascombe, baritone jazz musician, teacher and painter.
In her early childhood she danced and sang in her parent's rehearsals and by the age of three played the piano by ear, sang a repertoire of nursery rhymes and danced whenever she heard music. Her close contact with the performing arts soon lead her to wish to be a ballet dancer and she auditioned and obtained a grant to study at Elmhurst Ballet School, Surrey, directed by Bridget Espinosa with guest teachers such as Alicia Markova, Ninette de Valois,Director of the Royal Ballet and mime artist Marcel Marceau.. There she received her professional training of Classical Ballet, Jazz, Contemporary Dance, and Drama and Theatre Arts qualifying with the London Royal¡ Academy. She was chosen by the television producer Derek Martinus to take a part in the B.B.C. series "A Little Princess" at the age of thirteen and encouraged as an actress and singer, continued her studies of singing, piano, music, art, and Jazz dance training at the London Dance Pineapple Centre with choreographer Arlene Philips.
Julia taught herself the guitar composing her first song at the age of nine and began singing professionally at the age of fifteen, accompanying her own Folk and Celtic style compositions.
$he performed in her first stage musical in England a year later,” The Dick Emery show" followed by the television series, danced as leading fairy in the pantomime "Babes in the Wood”, and later joined a dance company as a solo singer and assistant choreographer to tour Europe.
She produced and choreographed her own Cabaret show as a solo singer and dancer on Costa Line Cruise ships, touring the world for two years.
Her first recording contract in 1987 lead her to base her life between England and Spain where the Maxi single "A Summer Romance" was released by Leiber Records and became top of the charts and a hit in discotheques. This record launched Julia\'s singing career and she performed in concerts and on numerous television programmes, particularly in Spain, with her own band and, dancers, creating her personal style of dance music. She continued to record "Cat in Disguise", "Classical" and her first LP, "My Psycollection"; her own compositions produced by Tuilio Tonelli. These albums were published in Europe, Japan and South America and are presently re-edited by Blanco y Negro Records in "l love Disco" Diamond Collection and "Two Decades of Dance",, compilation; albums of the best dance music of the eighties.
At this time Julia begins her Yoga practice, receiving her spiritual’ name "Sir¡ Sat Kaur" (The princess who manifests the greatest truth) from the Master Yogi Bhajan. She records Mantras, music for yoga and meditation in Holland; "Peace of Mind" with Matamandir Singh and "Prosperity and Success" edited by Golden Temple in Spain. After qualifying as a, Yoga teacher she studies healing, natural diagnosis, floral and gemstone therapy and this experience leads her to become a Reíkí Master.
Contracted by Max Music, in 1995 Julia becomes the voice of "Promise" recording "The Promise", "The way you live the way you Love", "Think", "Running", "A Girl like You" and "Don\'t Give me Up" with "Speed Limit".

Hoping to record her own compositions with a spiritual message and no longer feeling identified with the world of dance music she changes record label to Tir Terra Records as lead vocalist and lyric writer with a new age group, “Terra” lead by Carles Reig, her present producer. Together they record Terra "Natura" in 1997 in E.M.I. Studios,a musical journey with an eternal quality which is still popular in the world of new age music. Through a concert performance Terra are invited to record several video clips for the T.V. programme "Hidrogen" directed by Albert Reguant in Barcelona, and also record "Celtic Dreams\'.
Presently Julia Claire and Caries Reig are united in their new project as "Ohm Spirit Sound." Caries, musician and composer brings Julia’s dream to life producing her new mantra album "Celestial", on his own independent record label "Ohm Spirit Sound", spiritual music to uplift, heal and bring harmony through the science of sound with the collaboration of various outstanding international musicians. Julia's voice and compositions are enhanced by the production of Caries and they include more spiritual songs in "Mantra Chill Out" a popular version of "Celestial".
Julia creates "Celestial Dance" a form of dance meditation through her mantra compositions which she currently teaches in workshops and performs on stage with the presentation of her new albums, a fusion of the sacred sound with beautiful melodies inspired from the infinite, acoustic instruments, synthesizers, electronic effects and rhythms.
Now the first radio single, "Healing" has been welcomed and praised by the critics and Julia unites her stage experience and spiritual discovery to express her music in live performance with dancers and musicians.

"Everything I have learnt through my life has enabled me to share this gift of music for a purpose. I hope to spread joy, love and peace through our universal language."
