we´ve been robbed :(!!

This is a bittersweet story, it happened two days ago but I've gathered
no strenght to post it till now
, I've had the greatest of times inOregon, and in Faerieworlds, it was awesome, the people, my band
supporters, Woodland, the Frouds, Robert, the Greenman, the storyteller
... I miss them so much already...I got a wonderful gown from Linda
"Glory gowns" and a double ocarina from Charlie Hind, and a crystal
pendant from River, and a pair of raven wings from Kelly and a gorgeous
oscar drum from tribal thunder, it felt like xmas... the stars, the
forests... the magic... it was absolutely beyond any word
when
flying back it was exhausting, we had to go from portland to chicago,
then to zurich and then to Spain. We were exhausted and willing to get
home...
but THEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Just as soon as we stepped from the airbus airport two big guys attacked us robbed all our studio equipment and personal belongings,
they poured a substance over us and they wanted the black case in which
we carried all important things, so we've been stolen all the cash we
made in faerieworlds, our laptop, our mobile studio and soundcard, our
photocamera, our hardrive with our data, our videocamera, all our
memories, our flat and car keys, our passports, and almost everything
of value I had with me, thanks god they didn't took my carry on so my
original paintings are safe. I'm pretty sure we were spotted and they
did know which case they wanted.
we even had to pay over 800 dollars just to break into our flat and change the lock
we're
absolutely uncovered and we had no insurance and we're in need of
replacing some of the working staff to prepare our concert in the
faeriecon... not to add I am hideously scared and unsafe and I'm
considering even to leave Barcelona now ...
we were not insured so now it seems to be lost, at least we're not hurt
as
much as I loved this town, I feel it's maybe too big to feel safe, and
my health is rather precarious to cope with this kind of scares
Police
told us though we've been lucky because the same band attacked last
sunday with violence another couple in same circumstances, but they
offered resistance and are not so lucky to be not injured as we are
Héctor and I feel very bad about it
It was not our idea, but we're very grateful to faerieworlds staff for opening a rising funds page for us here

Today i'm feeling slightly better, haven't been able to sleep or eat in two days
and
I need to center a little bit to cope with what i've lost, my memories,
data, after all the economical part was important and something i can't
hardly get covered when i was trying to save for making my next release
which was actually delayed... for me the priority was to save for the
release and now I go back to scratch!
anyway they can steal the good memory I carry with me from my new family there
and I'm deeply grateful to all the people who is sending me pictures and videos of the event now that we're lost ours.
i'm now having a headache also changing my passwords and trying to keep safe all the info i had in there...
but i had no backing of all the things, as they took the computer and also the external hardrive...
i'm just planning in a big big black cloud

carry though the warm heart of having met Mike burn again (thank you my
friend for the hug and encouragement) and the wonderful time I had
there, it was a BLAST!!

ehhh no vi a nadie en el ethereal fest y eso que era gratis... en fins... o erais muy tímidos....
bueno la gran noticia ahora es que nos vamos para estados unidos, uf, es nuestra primera vez allí
y bueno para mí la gran ilusión es ser presentada por uno de mis
ídolos, Brian Froud, diseñador de películas como EL CRISTAL OSCURO y
DENTRO DEL LABERINTO, y es que como yo misma soy un poco freak, me
estreno en un festival freaky
dedicado a la fantasía y las hadas... es la primera vez que actuaré
para tanta gente, y es que hasta ahora se han ratificado más de 12000
entradas y aún queda hasta agosto... yo que estoy acostumbrada a
cantidades mucho más modestas... estoy literalmente acoj... hahahah
Hace
poco el disco ganó el premio a mejor album new age independiente en
Detroit, y fue nominado en Los angeles como mejor vocalista new age....
(algo haré raro porque según yo hago gótico... pero no me voy a
quejar...) Además voy por partida doble como cantante y como
ilustradora. Contaré además de mi misma (piano, low whistle, flauta,
chalumeau) en el escenario con la ayuda de mi inseparable
hector(piano), y con Christine (chelo), Jarrod (batería) y los miembros
de Woodland Kelly (harpa, coros) y Emilio (guitarra)
Esta es una
foto mía hace unos años con cosas del Cristal Oscuro (en plan friki
star wars pero con cosas de Froud) y ahora soy artista seleccionada en
su web y me voy presentada por él... trataré de disimular un poquito y
no desmayarme hahahaha
disimularé, es como si un freaky de star wars le pones a Harrison Ford delante... hahahha
y ha sido todo casualidad que es lo más raro de todo....!!
o las fuerzas del universo...!

y 2 de Agosto a las 9 de noche... uno como hada buena y otro com hada
mala, dividido en dos pues como en el disco

Mi nueva flauta doble hecha a mano!
Submitted by Priscilla Hernández on Lun, 2008-06-16 11:26.Siempre he tenido una gran fascinación por la película El cristal Oscuro, es mi favorita, y de hecho la tengo en varias versiones, ahora se ha editado la versión del 25 aniversario y no me importaría echarla la garra pronto.

El caso es que el protagonista Jen, al principio de la película y en un tema dedicado a "Kira" (sí, mi perrita Kira se llamó a sí por este film) tenía una flauta doble, que en la banda sonora se hizo con una flageoleta doble, y por tanto es imposible tocar con una flauta doble con drone convencional, tras buscar y buscar encontré algunas opciones dobles, pero no se ajustaban mucho al look nordico/celta del film y como ya sabéis este verano, vueltas del destino, es el propio Brian Froud, diseñador de esta película, el que me presenta en el festival l faerieworlds así que con un poco de maña, masilla y madera, y un par de whistles me he empezado a preparar mi primera flauta doble, que por ahora funcionalmente va...
Con madera y masilla las he unido y esculpido sobre ella ramas para darle un aspecto más élfico, aún he de añadirle algunas cintas y piedrecillas, pero este es el aspecto de mi primera flauta doble y estoy bastante contenta por ahora. Espero poder utilizarla en el Ethereal fest el próximo 19 de Julio.

La ilustradora ilustrada: retrato por Chris down!

Ayer recibí en mi correo una ilustración de mi
amigo y dibujante Chris Down. Chris down es más conocido por publicar
libros de patrones celtas (seguro que alguno de vosotros tiene alguno)
y también se dedica a la ilustración fantástica. Hemos coincidido en
varias ferias donde hemos compartido stand alguna vez (otra vez el
próximo junio en el faery fest, inglaterra) y a partir de ahí surgió
una amistad. 
Estoy muy orgullosa de que me haya elegido de modelo para una de sus
ilustraciones, para ello os dejo la foto original (o sea yo!!! hahaha)
y su dibujo (creo que me ha dejado más delgadica y más guapa hahahaha)

hice a Priscilla Hernandez, ilustradora, cantante, compositora…
Sobretodo,
la entrevista se centra en su faceta musical y concretamente en su cd
“Ancient Shadows” mezcla de gótico, ambient y más estilos con unos
textos muy profundos y personales.
Os garantizo que Priscilla, en

published a review of the album in its nº 24 issue. Click on the

PRISCILLA HERNANDEZ – ‘Ancient Shadows’ (yidneth)
Genre – Heavenly Voices
very powerful heavenly voices vocal that is highly reminiscent of Sarah
Brightman in her more popular albums (as opposed to her more classical
pieces). The album is subtitled ‘The Ghost and the Fairy’ and has the
two threads intertwining throughout the CD, with each element having
its own booklet. Priscilla is obviously making a well deserved name for
herself amongst the Fairy community, though her music will greatly
appeal to goths with a love of ethereal music too, as the music and
singing are incredibly evocative with images of fairy castles, dark
woods and angelic hosts throughout. This is more LOTR than LOTR was!
But there is amongst the fairy feyness a darker edge reflected by the
Ghost passages which touch on darker folky images – and anyone
interested in proper folk music and not the jokey nonny nonny stuff
will know that European folk music has some very dark places within it!
This is a CD that will appeal to everyone who likes neo-classical /
ethereal music and comes beautifully packaged with gorgeous
illustrations from Priscilla herself. - Mike
CRAWLING TUNES, a german magazine specialized in
gothic music has published a two pages/interview article with tons of
pictures. Worth to buy it, they really did very well . The issue
also comes with two cds of quiet gothic music. (language: german)

looks creepy huh? XD, the publication is devoted to music in gothic
that is not metal but quieter and more introspective. The article looks
